We are happy to welcome Dr. Numan Khan in the LaRTIC team, as a postdoctoral fellow.
Dr. Khan's skills will be very useful for LaRTIC. His research work is intended to propose and implement advanced technologies to enhance safety and reduce defects in construction projects. He published nine articles in internationally reputed journals, presented 12 conference papers in international conferences and workshops, as well as in three domestic conferences.
Areas of research
Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, parametric design, building information modeling
Hamidreza POURZAREI, Ph.D. student supervised by Professors Conrad Boton and Louis Rivest, won the Best Doctoral Proposal award at the international PLM20 conference.
The quality of collaboration between the stakeholders is crucial for the productivity and the success of projects in the construction industry. An important research effort has been made to improve it in the recent years, notably through the use of information technologies , including the Building Information Modeling (BIM) approach. In this context, the BIM-centered Common Data Environments (CDE) are considered as the future of computer-supported collaborative work platforms for the construction industry.
